Stripes are playful, happy, and one of the easiest forms of color-work. But knitting stripes in the round leads to color jogs at the beginning of each round where the color changes. By working the Helix technique, the colors spiral around each other creating a continuous swirl of color from the brim to the top of the crown. But unlike typical color work you must never twist your yarns around each other or try to “anchor them.” Simply drop one yarn and pick up the next when it’s time to change color.
